For Conroe native Ritchey Cable’s new film “Parable,” he drew inspiration from John Hughes’ “The Breakfast Club” while navigating how people experience loss and grief.
The full-length movie, which was filmed in the Kansas City area, features six strangers who wake up in a loft with no memory of how they got there as a seventh person is lifeless on a bed. They are trapped inside the loft and hourglasses count down the minutes as they find a way out.
The film was picked up by Angel Studios out of Utah and is available for streaming on their website. The studio was behind the film “David,” in theaters during the holidays, and also has upcoming releases “Solo Mio” and “Young Washington” that will be in theaters this year.
