Union Pacific Begins Development of Massive Industrial Park in Texas

Union Pacific Railroad has launched construction on a major new logistics and industrial development spanning approximately 2,000 acres near Houston, Texas. The project is designed to strengthen supply chain infrastructure and support industrial growth in one of the United States’ key freight corridors.

The planned park will include roughly 1,300 acres of rail-served land directly connected to Union Pacific’s main rail line, alongside 700 additional acres dedicated to industrial and commercial uses without direct rail service. When complete, the development is expected to offer more than 20 million square feet of Class A industrial space, making it one of the region’s most significant logistics hubs.

Strategically situated near major highways such as U.S. 90, Highway 36, Spur 10 and Interstate 69, the site will provide efficient access to key population centers and international gateways, including border crossings at Laredo, Eagle Pass and El Paso.
