Fuel truck fire shuts down southbound lanes on I-45, HFD says

A truck carrying about 9,000 gallons of gasoline caught fire early Thursday morning on I-45 near its intersection with Bay Area Boulevard, according to the Houston Fire Department, which said no injuries were reported.

Southbound lanes on Interstate 45 near Bay Area Boulevard were shut down Thursday morning after a fuel truck caught fire on the freeway, according to the Houston Fire Department.

The truck was carrying about 9,000 gallons of gasoline, according to the fire department, which said in a social media post that no injuries were reported.
