THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Norah Seidl concluded the opening day of the Texas Golf Throwdown in sixth place, highlighted by a hole-in-one in the second round of play, as the Bobcats opened competition at The Woodlands Country Club on Monday.
Seidl, who is competing individually in The Woodlands, aced the par-3 eighth hole on her second trip around the course and finished her day 1-over 146. As a team, the Bobcats sit in 14th with a 311 in the first round and a 301 through 16 holes in round two after play was suspended late in the second round due to darkness.
“Very tough day out there for our five,” Montana State head coach Brittany Basye said. “Norah had a hole-in-one and is playing great – super proud of her. Golf is hard, and it’ll knock you down very quickly. We have to learn from the day and tee it up tomorrow and try to pick up some strokes. We learn from the good and the bad. Today wasn’t awesome, so we learn and keep fighting. They will recover and learn because that’s who they are. Norah has put herself in a great position for a good finish. She will battle it out tomorrow.”…
