THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Firefighters swiftly contained a fire sparked by an electric vehicle’s battery in a garage on Harpers Way Friday afternoon.
At 2:15 p.m., The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) was dispatched to assist Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD#4 with the reported structure fire, according to a press release from TWFD. Engines 101, 102, and 106, along with Truck 101 and Battalion 101, were assigned to the scene. Engine 61 was the first to arrive and reported that a passenger car electric vehicle was off-gassing inside the garage of a single-family home.
