A Conroe businessman who, along with his family, helped collect truckloads of supplies for disaster victims and led an effort to move a natural gas compressor station in the city was named the 2026 Conroe Founders Day Citizen of the Year.
Todd Bartholet, 62, owner of Bartholet Home Furnishings in Conroe, received the honor Thursday evening at the annual Conroe Founders Day event celebrating city namesake Isaac Conroe.
