New Danville will host its annual Spring Thing Luncheon on Friday, April 17, 2026, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, bringing together community leaders, partners, and supporters for an afternoon dedicated to connection, purpose, and inclusion.
Spring Thing is one of New Danville’s signature fundraising events, supporting its mission to provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to live, learn, work, and grow in a supportive community. The luncheon highlights the individuals at the heart of the organization while celebrating the collective impact of those who make the work possible.
This year’s event will feature New Danville’s Wranglers as the stars of the show, showcasing their talents, resiliency and joy for life and learning. The event will also include a thoughtfully curated Spring Thing Market and an inviting atmosphere designed to foster meaningful connection. Guests will enjoy lunch, beverages, and firsthand insight into how New Danville’s programs create confidence, independence, and belonging through consistent, community-centered support.
“Spring Thing is a celebration of people showing up for one another,” said New Danville President & CEO Mike Painter. “It reflects the community’s twenty-one year support of the New Danville community and the people we serve.”…
