6:30 a.m. UPDATE – Expect delays Friday morning on 610 North Loop to the eastside toward I-10 Friday morning. What we can see on Houston TranStar, is a heavy truck accident involving a jackknifed 18-wheeler on 610 eastbound heading south at Gellhorn Drive.
At the scene, the crash is impacting two lanes — the left shoulder, left lane, and center lane — and was verified at 6:35 a.m. Drivers are advised to expect heavy congestion in the area and consider alternate routes if possible.
Backup is heavy to Lockwood and gaining.
