With the Houston Rodeo just days away, here’s where you can get all the apparel you’ll need

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is days away, and while many Houstonians have western wear, there are lots of options to get a new hat or pair of boots just in time for opening day.

The Houston region has everything from big well-known stores like Boot Barn and Cavendars, to small, unique shops to find one-of-a-kind apparel and even vintage clothing.

Here are some locations to find all the western wear and accessories you will need.

Boot Barn

With more than a dozen locations, Boot Barn offers one of the largest selections of boots featuring many of the most popular brands. The retailer has hats, jeans and shirts to choose from as well.

Cavenders

Founded in 1965 in Pittsburg, Texas, by James and Patricia “Pat” Cavender, the business started with just three styles of Tony Lama boots. Today, shoppers can choose from dozens of boot brands, apparel, belts and hats.

Tecovas

Austin-based Tecovas was founded in 2015 by Paul Hedrick. The company, which has multiple Houston stores, is known for its classic western boots made from materials like bovine, ostrich and lizard leathers. Tecovas boots are designed in Texas and handcrafted in Leon, Mexico. Tecovas also offers apparel, hats, belts and bags.

Gomez Western Wear

Gomez Western Wear has more than a dozen locations across the Houston region. The company offers clothes, boots, hats and accessories for men, women and children.

Pinto Ranch

Pinto Ranch offers men’s and women’s apparel, cowboy boots, jewelry and more. The popular Houston location at 1717 Post Oak Blvd. in Uptown offers top brands like Scully, Texas Standard, Stetson, Double D Ranch, Mauritius and Charlie 1 Horse.

Lucchese Bootmaker

Lucchese Bootmaker was founded in 1883 in San Antonio and has multiple Houston-area locations. The company features premium handcrafted western boots made of exotic leathers. The store also has hats and western apparel.

The Hat Store

The Hat Store, 5587 Richmond Ave., was founded by Sam Silver in 1915 and offers custom hand-cut and shaped hats, boots, clothing, belts and buckles.
