Missing child rescued from human trafficking operation in Houston area, investigators say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A missing juvenile is back home safe after Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office detectives tracked the child through online sex ads and rescued the victim during a trafficking investigation, authorities announced Wednesday.

With help from Texas Department of Public Safety special agents, detectives found the suspects’ vehicle, with by two adult women and the missing juvenile inside. The child was rescued at the scene, ending what authorities described as a specialized human trafficking investigation.

The women with the juvenile were identified as 20-year-old Norma Lewis and 20-year-old Niasia Harrell, both from Houston. They were arrested, charged with trafficking of a child, a first-degree felony, and taken to the Montgomery County Jail…
