MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A story that sparked outrage in a Montgomery County community now has a hopeful update.

Back in November, KHOU 11 reported that a tree holding an active bald eagle nest had been cut down in Porter, prompting a federal investigation. Now, neighbors say that same eagle pair appears to be starting over — and growing their family.
