A pedestrian was killed after a collision overnight on U.S. Highway 59, according to the Splendora Police Department.
Officers said they responded at 1 a.m. on Saturday to reports of a possible crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Brice Lane. When they arrived, officers found a single vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian, police said.
According to investigators, preliminary investigation indicated the pedestrian was lying in the roadway in an area with no street lighting when he was hit by the vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said…
