HOUSTON (CW39)— A deadly crash involving a pedestrian shut down part of the West Loop for nearly six hours early Saturday, causing major traffic disruptions on one of Houston’s busiest corridors.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the West Loop near Westheimer Road.
Authorities say a pedestrian was struck during the incident. Officials have not said how many vehicles were involved, but several damaged cars remained at the scene as crews worked to investigate and clear the roadway.
