CONROE, TX — The Conroe Police Department wants the community to be aware of an ongoing scam in which individuals falsely claim to work for the Conroe Police Department or other law enforcement agencies.
We have received reports of scammers contacting residents by phone, claiming to be with the Conroe Police Department. The caller claims the individual has missed jury duty and now has a warrant for their arrest. The scammer then demands immediate payment to “resolve” the warrant and avoid being taken into custody.
