SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Several people were injured in a crash involving a trash truck and four other vehicles on James River Freeway Tuesday afternoon.
According to Springfield police, officers responded to the crash around 3:30 p.m. on westbound James River Freeway near Glenstone Avenue.
Police said a trash truck was approaching slowly from an unrelated crash when the trash truck hit four vehicles. One of the vehicles overturned and landed on its side.
Four people from one of the vehicles were taken to the hospital. Another person from a different vehicle had minor injuries and was expected to go to the hospital by private vehicle…
