LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM/KJFX) — About 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, reports of a serious crash on I-44 near 40 MM alerted E-911.
Stotts City Fire, Lawrence County Deputies and EMS responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified along with MoDOT Emergency Response. Other agencies unknown responded to assist with traffic.
On scene we learn it was a semi and a passenger vehicle in the eastbound lanes near 40 MM.
Traffic was initially halted then one lane was allowed to pass. It was about seven miles of backed up traffic two lanes.
The Patrol’s Major Crash Investigation Unit (MCIU) responded to investigate the crash. We observed them mapping out impact points and debris…
