Greene County builder faces 26 felony counts in fraud case

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway has announced felony charges against Kevin A. Greenhaw, who operated under the business name Greenhaw Buildings, in connection with an alleged scheme that authorities say defrauded consumers out of more than $330,000 through unfinished residential construction projects.

According to the charges, Greenhaw accepted payments from customers for the construction of barndominium-style homes and shop-houses but allegedly failed to complete the promised work.

“When Missourians pay for work to be done on their homes, they deserve to receive what they were promised,” Hanaway said. “Consumer fraud has a detrimental effect on Missourians, and we are here to help protect their hard-earned money. My office will continue working to combat fraud, deception, and financial exploitation wherever it occurs.”…
