A Springfield restaurant was cited for having its cooler unplugged, according the Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s food inspection reports from the past week.
The American Legion Post No. 676, 2350 N. Clifton Ave., had an unplugged cooler with a temperature of 61 degrees Fahrenheit inside, and all the items in the cooler were above 41 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the June 2 inspection report. The report indicated this was a repeat violation that was corrected by voluntarily discarding the food items and plugging the cooler back in.
