Springfield babysitter charged after toddler allegedly struck with extension cord

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield woman is charged with child abuse after police say she struck a toddler multiple times with a charging cord, leaving injuries that medical professionals later determined were child abuse.

Teilia Larene Greer, born in 1989, is charged in Greene County Circuit Court with abuse or neglect of a child resulting in physical injury, as well as first-degree child endangerment, both class D felonies.
