Missouri National Guard soldiers honored in Springfield before upcoming deployment

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — More than 100 Missouri National Guard soldiers with the 1136th Military Police Company were recognized Monday during a deployment ceremony in Springfield as they prepare to leave for an upcoming mission.

The ceremony was held at Drury University’s AME Church and allowed family members, friends, fellow service members and community supporters to gather before the soldiers departed.
