SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Clifford the Big Red Dog visited Springfield Public Schools’ (SPS) Explore Summer Learning Program sites today to celebrate reading accomplishments.
Ozarks First caught up with Clifford at Horace Mann Elementary School.
“When students develop their skills in reading, it will take them everywhere they want or anywhere they want to go in life, and it will help them be successful during their school career, and so we have a big focus on literacy here in Springfield Public Schools,” said Superintendent of SPS, Dr. Grenita Lathan.
