FAIR GROVE, Mo. (KY3) – A low-water crossing near Fair Grove is facing renewed scrutiny after another vehicle was swept away during flooding.
Ashley Lampe-Beckham and her 9-year-old foster son survived after their car was pushed into the river Sunday night, June 21, at the Highway CC crossing west of Fair Grove.
The crossing is on a MoDOT road. Firefighters said drivers often do not realize water is covering the roadway until it is too late.
