Amendment 5 meetings in Branson and Republic bring advocacy and opposition

REPUBLIC, Mo. — Meetings discussing Amendment 5 were held in Branson and Republic on Tuesday, where the public could learn more about the ballot measure.

Amendment 5 will be on the ballot in Missouri’s primary elections on Aug. 4. The measure asks voters if they want to eliminate the state income tax and give lawmakers the ability to raise or implement taxes on purchases.
