SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — More than 80 veterans from southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas traveled to Washington, D.C., Tuesday as part of Honor Flight of the Ozarks’ second mission of 2026.
The organization sent 81 veterans and 81 guardians on the daylong trip, giving veterans the opportunity to visit memorials dedicated to those who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
During the visit, veterans are also scheduled to tour the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, visit Arlington National Cemetery and witness the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier…
