SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man has been charged after fire officials say he intentionally set fire to two vehicles on Monday, Aug. 10.
According to online court dockets, Richard Vent, born in 1996, has been charged with two counts of knowingly burning or exploding in Greene County Circuit Court.
The Springfield Fire Department said in a probable cause statement that they responded to the area around 4:30 a.m. on Monday for a report of two vehicles on fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters stated there were no active flames, but found pieces of cloth that appeared to have been used as wicks inserted into the gas tanks of a 2010 Dodge Caravan and a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox…
