SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — More than 24,000 students and 3,400 staff members are returning to classrooms as Springfield Public Schools kicks off the new academic year, highlighted by major facility investments and new campus debuts across the city.
Leading this fall’s slate of capital improvements are two brand-new facilities—Pipkin Middle School and Reed Middle School—built following voter support for a district bond initiative in 2023. Construction and modernizations are also moving forward at Bingham Elementary School and Bishop Elementary School as part of the district’s long-term facility updates.
