SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The city of Springfield has the chance to be part of the opening festivities for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Springfield City Council is considering Bill 2026-190, which would allow the city to enter a Torch Relay Agreement with the 2028 LA Olympic & Paralympic Committee to potentially have the torch relay pass through Springfield. The council held a public hearing at Monday’s meeting for the bill.
