SPRINGFIELD, Mo — Rapid Roberts, Hiland Dairy, and Ozarks Coca Cola/Dr. Pepper bottling company are donating a portion of profits made between Friday, August 28 and Monday, September 7 to the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools.
This comes after Missouri lawmakers made cuts to public school funding earlier this year that resulted in a $190 million shortfall according to the states school funding formula.
Executive Director at Foundation for Springfield Public Schools, Natalie Murdock, said “this fundraiser will support our grant program. And one of the ways that we empower our educators is through our Back-to-School grant program. So teachers can ask for funding.”…
