SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The annual Service Fair on the Square is this weekend in downtown Springfield.
The History Museum on the Square is hosting the event, inviting more than 20 local organizations to set up booths, share their missions, and show how people can get involved. Organizers say the event is a good opportunity for students needing to fulfill community service hours or adults looking to support their community.
“This is a no-commitment volunteer fair, so this is really just a chance for people to learn about the organizations and see what they may be interested in,” said Al Thompson, education manager of the History Museum on the Square. “Some organizations may ask for sign-ups, but really this is just to get the information out there.”…
