Three SPS alumni inducted into its hall of fame

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Three graduates from Springfield Public Schools (SPS) were inducted into the SPS Hall of Fame on Wednesday in honor of their personal and professional achievements.

The Class of 2026 inductees are Sally Hargis, a 1973 graduate of Glendale High School; Dr. Pete Lollar, a 1969 graduate of Glendale High School; and Sarah Self-Kyler, a 1995 graduate of Kickapoo High School.

The three alumni were presented with awards at SPS’s 17th annual luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the White River Conference Center.

Hargis serves as the vice president and board chairman of Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Company. SPS honored her for leading her family business amidst its historic growth and for her contributions to her community through philanthropy and volunteer work, including being on the TIF commission that helped establish the Springfield Cardinals stadium and her work with Junior League which led to the creation of Leadership Springfield…
