Arkansas woman arrested after Nixa police chase

NIXA, Mo. — An Arkansas woman is in custody after an alleged fraud attempt and police chase.

According to a press release from the city of Nixa, at 1:27 p.m., Nixa Police were dispatched to a report of forgery at the Blu Current Credit Union at 310 W. Mt. Vernon.

When officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, she allegedly attempted to hit an officer while fleeing in her vehicle. After five minutes in the chase, the suspect pulled over and stopped at US-65 mile marker 34.5.

The press release also stated the suspect has a nationwide warrant as well as local charges.

Other area law enforcement agencies may also be investigating her for similar issues which may result in charges from multiple jurisdictions.
