Woman charged with 28 counts of animal abuse in Stone County

STONE COUNTY, Mo. – A second person has been charged in the Stone County animal abuse case that left 29 dogs dead late last week.

Jessica Jean Johnson was arrested in Greene County on January 26 and charged with 28 counts of animal abuse.

She was located by the Greene County Fugitive Task Force and transported to the Stone County Jail where she remains on a $10,000 bond awaiting her first court appearance.

The other person charged in the case, John Griffiths, is out on bail and is also charged with 28 counts of animal abuse.
