55 dogs rescued from residence near Galena, Mo.; Two arrested, facing charges

STONE COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM/KJFX) — Now two people have been arrested and facing charges related to 55 animals seized on a property near Galena, Mo. Friday, January 19.

“Approximately 55 dogs were in pens, tied to trees or tied to shelters. Most of these dogs had no access to food or water. Upon closer inspection, they located multiple animals which were deceased and were still in their shelter, on a chain next to a tree or located in a burn pile.”

STONE CO SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Friday the Greene County Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Jessica Jean Johnson in Greene County.

Johnson is the second person charged in the Animal Abuse case which was worked in Stone County on Friday, January 19th.
