Paige Moschner, Operations Manager for the Heart Hospital, said last year most of their staff had never been part of an event like this.

She said seeing patients speak with the care team who saved their lives is an emotional experience.

“It was so nice to see their general reactions to seeing that patient again in real life and seeing them thriving and flourishing and just seeing the outcomes. It’s very rare, rare to see the positive effects of our care, ” said Moschner.

This year, four more patients will be returning to the hospital to meet the medical team that provided life-saving care, including one woman who just turned 101.

Harriet Henderson went through a major surgery where she needed a new aortic valve but now Moschner tells me she is back to her normal routine and living life to the fullest.
