Family grieves loss of pet after neighbor stabs dog in ‘self-defense’

MARSHFIELD, Mo. (KY3/Gray News) – A Missouri family is grieving the loss of their pet dog, Teddy, after he was stabbed in the head by their neighbor. According to the Webster Co. Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an animal call on Jan. 11. The caller, John Edward Pace, 63, told dispatchers his neighbor’s dog Teddy attacked him while he was getting his mail and broke his skin.
