Republic school bus crash blocks traffic, injures 2

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Bypass and West Sunshine Street is blocking traffic late Friday morning.

Southbound traffic on West Bypass is blocked and is being diverted onto eastbound Sunshine Street. Traffic is moving slowly on westbound Sunshine.

The Springfield Police Department has confirmed three vehicles were involved in the accident, including a Republic School District bus. None of the bus riders have reported injuries at this time.

The two people in a Jeep Renegade were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:42 a.m., according to OzarksTraffic.
