Lady Bears maul Salukis on the road

CARBONDALE, Ill–As for the Lady Bears, they’ve got the third best mark in the conference at 7-2.

But had to go on the road Saturday afternoon, and tangle with Southern Illinois.

Late first quarter, MSU up 1, Jaidynn Mason teaches Lacy Stokes why she averages nearly 3 steals a game. Second best in the Valley, just for the record.

Final seconds of the first, Salukis air mail the pass, Stokes tracks it down and gets the bucket. Her 2 steals per contest is 8th best in the Valley, in case you were wondering.

Then, right before halftime, Mason gives the Wolves a 5-point cushion with her 11th point. MSU did cut the deficit to just 1 by intermission.

Jumping to the 4th quarter, Missouri State ahead by 6, Kyrah Daniels with the offensive rebound, cashes in the 2nd chance bucket.

She, Jade Masogayo, and Lacy Stokes combined for 38 of the Lady Bears 62 points to earn a sweep of their two-game road trip.
