Moore’s revival pushes Bears to fourth consecutive win

SPRINGFIELD–What’s up Bear Nation?! You know that old adage that says ‘it’s not how you start it’s how you finish.’ Well, whether Dana Ford likes it or not, that’s been his team’s unofficial motto over their current 3-game winning streak. And while it might drive him crazy, ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’

Because in two of those three wins, the Bears overcame a double digit deficit. And guess what, that formula held water, again, in today’s showdown with Belmont.

And the Bruins were lighting it up early. They knocked down 5 of their first 7 three point attempts to lead by 6 midway through the first half.

Two minutes later, the most lethal scorer on the floor announces he’s back! Chance Moore with the triple! He dropped 11 in the first half, on his way to a big night.

But I told you the bears faced a double digit hole, and I’m no liar. Brigham Rogers dunk punctuated a 9-0 run by the Bruins to lead 31-21 with under 7 to go in the period.

From there, Mo State flipped a switch and closed the half on a 15-6 run. Donovan Clay chipped in with a trey ball of his own. Bears down 1 at the break.
