Police chase down stolen vehicle into Strafford; two arrested

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — Two people were arrested in Strafford, Missouri after a car chase in a stolen vehicle late Friday night.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), deputies were in the vicinity of Grand Street and John Q Hammons Parkway trying to stop a stolen vehicle when the car fled the scene. The suspects fled east with deputies in pursuit until the vehicle stopped in the area of State Highway OO and Farm Road 249.

After stopping, the driver of the stolen car ran off while a passenger stayed in the vehicle. Officers searched the area with the help of a K9 team and drone, where they quickly found and arrested the driver.

The GCSO says both the driver and the passenger were taken into custody.
