National dinosaur experience Jurassic Quest coming to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Get ready to roar for an upcoming interactive dinosaur experience here in Springfield.

Jurassic Quest, a popular dinosaur exhibit traveling across North America, will be migrating to the Springfield Expo Center for the weekend of April 5-7.

According to a press release from Jurassic Quest, the “edutainment” event boasts large, ridable dinosaurs, interactive art and science activities, a life-size dinosaur skull and horn, animatronic dinos, a “Triceratots” play area for small children, bounce houses, and more.

For 2024, Jurassic Quest will be debuting two raptor-themed attractions for 2024: The “Raptor Run”, where kids can race raptors, and a “Rope-A-Raptor” experience, where kids lasso stray dinos and put them back in their pens.

Jurassic West will also expand its excavation station, add new animatronic dinosaurs, launch a video tour for its scavenger hunt activity titled “The Quest”, and more rides and inflatables.

The public hours for the event are:

  • Friday, April 5: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 6: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 7: 9 a.m-7 p.m
