SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Springfield Police Officers are working to resolve a standoff on Commercial Street Friday night.
According to SPD, officers were nearby working a separate incident when they saw a suspect with an active warrant run.
SPD’s special response team is working along with investigators to try and get the suspect to come out so he can be arrested.
The area from Lone Pine and Oak Grove near Commercial is blocked off to the public, and the public is asked to avoid the area while officers work.
