SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – One of two men charged with stealing and damaging an adoption trailer from C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue in 2022 has been sentenced. Daniel J. Butts pled guilty to first-degree felony stealing and first-degree property damage in November of 2023. His sentencing hearing was held Friday where he was sentenced to 14 concurrent years in prison and a total of 10 years of supervised probation.
