100-year-old Rogersville church turned family home is up for sale

ROGERSVILLE, Mo. — After three years of flipping a church into their family home, the 100-year-old Rogersville church home is now for sale.

“It is ready to be sold now as one-half Airbnb and the other half a wedding venue,” said owner Joshua Morley. “We have nearly finished half of the house where it has a master bedroom, baby’s room and two other kids’ rooms. We now have a finished floor in that half as well.”

After three years and approximately $200,000 invested in renovation efforts, the family is now seeking a new owner. Offering three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, the property, listed by The J.R. Hutcheson Real Estate Team, is available for $349,500.

The historic building was constructed in 1912 and established as the United Methodist church in 1936. The Rogersville United Methodist Church hosted its final congregation in January 2019.

OzarksFirst interviewed the Morleys for the first time in 2021, as they were in the process of renovating the church to host their wedding ceremony in the chapel situated within their home.
