Wednesday, February 14: Cold crawling back with snow showers for some

With temperatures peaking out at 65 degrees in Springfield, this Valentine’s Day was simply beautiful enough to warm even the coldest heart.

Lovely conditions will be sticking around tonight, perfect for any Valentine’s dinner plans. Overnight lows will only dip to the mid-40s with clouds moving in after midnight.

We’ll be blessed with one more nice day tomorrow before a shake-up arrives early Friday. Temperatures for Thursday will be just a shade cooler than today, but still hard to complain about. Upper 50s for most with a few managing to hit 60 degrees with a slight northerly breeze and decreasing cloud cover.

A cold front will be approaching Friday morning generating a round of rain showers to the south. Temperatures will be cooler in Central Missouri opening the door for light snowfall to occur. QPF totals will be limited meaning totals, for both rain and potential snow, will be light.

For Saturday, we will shake off the wet weather but not the cooler temperatures. Highs will only peak in the low 40s to upper 30s. Sunday is my pick day of the weekend. More sunshine and above-average temperatures in the mid-50s.
