Humane Society offering low-cost vaccinations and microchips at weekend clinic

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri (HSSWMO) is offering low-cost vaccinations and microchips this weekend.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, pet parents can get microchips for $20 and vaccines for $12 each. Dog and cat vaccine packages are also available.

According to a release from HSSWMO, the clinic accepts walk-ins only on a first-come, first-served basis. The clinic will run until 80 people are registered or until 2 p.m., whichever comes first.

Dogs are required to be on leashes and cats must be in individual cat carriers for the duration of their visit.

HSSWMO also said that for safety reasons, owners should come into the shelter without their pets to register and receive a number. Owners should also be prepared to wait in their vehicle until their number is called.

Two additional microchip and vaccination clinics are scheduled for March 9 and April 20.
