CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — About 4 p.m. Friday afternoon reports of a single vehicle crash on Mo-65 and Green Mound/Woods Fork alerted E-911.

Trevor Salander , 22, of Springfield, Mo. was driving a 2006 Honda Pilot. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cox South.
“Occurred as [Honda Pilot] traveled off the left side of the roadway, into the median and down a steep embankment, where it came to rest in a dry creek bed.”

Salanders family have stated online the young man has a long recovery ahead of him, but they are hopeful as he is communicating after initial emergency surgeries.
The rescue from the bottom of the dry creek bed was lengthy HFPD state. They extend gratitude to mutual aid agencies incl. Christian County Ambulance District, Ozark Fire Protection District and Finley River Towing.
