‘We are not alone’: See UFO expert and New York Times best-seller at Nixa’s Aetos Center

The former head of the Pentagon’s UFO Investigation Unit — and author of a New York Times best-seller on that topic — will soon speak in Nixa.

The Aetos Center for the Performing Arts announced Monday that Luis “Lue” Elizondo will host a live event Nov. 18 called “Universal Truth, The Evidence is Clear: We Are Not Alone.”

Tickets will go on sale at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Elizondo is the former head of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, a Pentagon unit that researched UFOs, which are now known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon or UAP.

Prior to that, Elizondo oversaw counterespionage and counterterrorism investigations for the U.S. Department of Defense. He also worked for the Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

In August, his book “Imminent: Inside the Pentagon’s Hunt for UFOs” was published by HarperCollins .

“I wanted to be able to tell the American public my experiences and what the government has been doing for a very long time, not just when I was in the program, but for decades, about the government’s interest in UFOs or now what we call UAP. You’re absolutely right, unidentified anomalous phenomenon,” Elizondo said of writing the book during an Aug. 27 interview on ABC News. “The fact is, they’re real and they are a national security issue for this country.”
