This weekend’s fall festivals in the Ozarks

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Across the Ozarks, local communities will be gathering to celebrate the first day of fall. OzarksFirst looked into three festivals in the area all featuring options for food, live music, and local booths selling all sorts of items.

Each community has its own special touch. At Springfield’s Cider Days the namesake apple cider is the star.

“Cider Days and really all of our festivals that happen here in downtown are just a great way to really support your local economy,” said Hailey Magnus with Cider Days and the Downtown Springfield Association. “Almost everybody you’ll see there has a connection to either Springfield or at least the surrounding area.”

At Marshfield’s Harvest Days kids will be throwing pumpkins in the square at their Pumpkin Chuckin’ Contest.

“My favorite part is just reconnecting,” said Rachel Andrews, with Harvest Days. “Reconnecting with the vendors and then just seeing friends that I haven’t seen in a long time.”

“For me it’s just the people,” Dale Hartwell with Harvest Fest said. “You know, meeting all the people and the vendors, you meet them, you know, just getting acquainted back with the people, vendors and customers.”
