Long-anticipated seafood market set to open
Seafood Express , 2805 W. Chestnut Expressway, will host its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 25, according to a Facebook post . Customers will be able to try samples, participate in giveaways and purchase smoked meats and live and fresh seafood.
The food market will specialize in hot and frozen seafood products and include a deli, a soup station, seafood boils and more. Owner Chris Perkins has distributed seafood in the Ozarks since 2004, according to past News-Leader reporting. Perkins has said on Facebook that he will continue to run his home delivery once the store is open.
While Seafood Express was set to open in 2022, a fire in October delayed plans, according to reporting by the Springfield Business Journal .
Rogersville taproom hosts grand opening
One 2 Five Taproom , 1846 South State Highway 125, is hosting its grand opening weekend, complete with a ribbon-cutting, happy hours, music and food trucks.
