With another productive week behind us, it is time to name our newest Student of the Week.
This week, the student selected for the title is Kickapoo High School senior Oluwatobi (Tobi) Adepoju. One of the school’s valedictorians, Adepoju has taken more than the required weighted classes the last few years and is described as a wonderful student. She has volunteered at multiple places and works well with students of all ages and abilities.
Adepoju is a part of the peer mediator program, Chief mentor program and Kickapoo U program. She was also selected to participate in the Missouri Scholars Academy after her sophomore year.
Student of the Week is an initiative by the News-Leader to highlight the academic achievements of local area high school students. Nominations for students who have shown outstanding academic and school achievement and community service are gathered from administrators at participating districts in the Ozarks.
